About this event
Join Courtney Ann Jackson, news anchor and multimedia journalist at WLBT-TV in Jackson, for this week’s Fall Media Mentor Series session, presented by the Roy Howard Community Journalism Center.
Elections don’t end on Election Day. This session will focus on how journalists move from campaign coverage into accountability reporting in the days and weeks that follow. Drawing from experience covering the Mississippi State Capitol, this mentor will discuss how to track policy outcomes, follow elected officials and help the public understand what election results really mean. Students will gain insight into how to cover fast-moving political stories with clarity, accuracy and context while maintaining trust with their audiences.
